Meenakshi Dixit: Early Life
She was born in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, on October 12, 1993. Her mother’s name is Geeta Dixit, a housewife, and her father is Ishwar Chandra Dixit, a senior lawyer. Meenakshi graduated from Kanpur University with a Bachelor of Science after completing her education in Raebareli. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology at graduation. She is trained in both western and Kathak dance.
Meenakshi Dixit: Career
Meenakshi Dixit participated in the dance reality competition ‘Nachle Ve’ with Saroj Khan on NDTV Imagine in 2008, which helped her break into the Indian movie industry. Dixit made her film debut in the Telugu movie Lifestyle.
She had a brief cameo in a dance sequence in the highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2011, Dookudu, in 2011. She was also picked by the makers of the Bodyguard adaptation to do a dance number after Dookudu in the hopes that it would be as successful as her number in that film. Perhaps one her biggest projects to date, the Tamil movie Billa II, also featured her performing an item number.
Meenakshi Dixit: Movies
She played the lead in two movies in 2014. In the Tamil period comedy Tenaliraman and the thriller-drama Adavi Kachina, she portrayed a princess. She appeared in the movie Vennela as a would-be sharp shooter, and the actress also performed stunts. 2015’s P Se PM Tak, directed by Kundan Shah, served as her Bollywood debut. She portrayed a tough prostitute who ends up in the position of Chief Minister and then runs for the position of Prime Minister of the nation. ‘ She is photogenic as well as a superb performer,’ remarked director Kundan Shah. Dixit next appeared in the 2016 film Laal Rang, starring as the on-screen love interest of Randeep Hooda and portraying a medical student.
Bayam Oru Payanam was her most recent Tamil movie. The Telugu movie Maharshi from 2019 had her in the role of Nidhi.

She later started modeling, posing for advertisements for national & international companies like Red Square Energy Drink, Shankaram diamond jewelry, Microsoft Windows, Joyalukkas Jewelry, Fair & Handsome cream, Chennai Silks, Brooke Bond Taaza tea, Lee Cooper, Paaneri Sarees, Anytime Fitness gym, Radio Mirchi, ESSAR and Aquagaurd. She has also frequently modeled for the fashion business and well-known Indian periodicals.
