While the effectiveness of green tea in losing weight is questionable, it is perfect for gut health. The matcha has a high concentration of a polyphenol called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) that helps the gut microbes to multiply and benefit the consumer. If the taste of green tea prevents you from drinking it, you can get your daily dose mixed in smoothies, juices, and even popsicles.
